house of fraser uggs Varun Dhawan’s film looks nothing like the original
20 years ago Salman Khan gave Bollywood fans two of their favourite on screen characters Prem and Raja, and now two decades later, Varun Dhawan has stepped into the shoes of Khan to bring these memorable characters alive on screen once again. And who better to recreate the magic than filmmaker David Dhawan.
The 62 year old filmmaker who struck gold with Judwaa in 1997, is back with Judwaa 2, and it looks nothing like the original. Apart from the fact that chartbusters like Oonchi Hai Building and Tan Tana Tan take you on a nostalgia trip, nothing about this three minute trailer is exciting. Well, the story is still the same, but somehow it fails to evoke the same emotion.
This time around Prem and Raja will get to romance Taapsee Pannu and Jacqueline Fernandez in Judwaa 2. While the trailer promises to be a masala entertainer, only time will tell if Judwaa 2 has been able to live up to the hype.
Interestingly, 100 pairs of real ‘judwaas’ launched the trailer of Judwaa 2 in Mumbai. “Portraying the endearing attachment between twins is what I have tried to do. We have 200 twins at the launch sharing the love with us, it feels overwhelming and I am grateful for all the love Judwaa 2 is receiving,” said David Dhawan.
